What data we collect

We only collect the data you give us directly and the minimum technical information needed to run the site securely:

• Contact form: inquiry intent (marketing, software or undecided), full name, email address, WhatsApp number (optional) and message. If you arrive from a plan or collaboration, we also save that reference.
• Abuse prevention: when you submit the form we temporarily use your IP address to limit repeated submissions. We do not store it with your request.
• Visit statistics: we measure, in aggregate and anonymously, the pages visited, site performance, country, device type and browser. This measurement does not use cookies and does not allow us to identify you.
• Cookies: the public site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Only strictly necessary technical cookies are used, for example for our team's access to the admin area.

How we use it

We use your data only to:

• Reply to your inquiry and prepare a proposal suited to your business.
• Send you an email confirming we received your request.
• Follow up commercially on your request.
• Protect the site and the form against spam and misuse.
• Understand, in aggregate, how the site is used in order to improve it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. We only share it with providers that help us operate the site and process it on our behalf:

• Supabase: database where contact requests are stored.
• Resend: delivery of the confirmation email and the internal notice to our team.
• Vercel: site hosting and aggregate visit statistics.
• Automation tools we use to organize the follow-up of each request.

Some of these providers may store information outside Costa Rica, for example in the United States, with appropriate security measures. We may also disclose data to an authority when required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form data for as long as we have a business relationship with you or as needed to follow up on your inquiry. If no business relationship results, we delete it no later than 24 months after the last contact, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it longer.

The IP address used to limit submissions is discarded when the control window expires. Visit statistics are aggregated and contain no data that identifies you.

Your rights

Under Costa Rica's Law 8968 on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of their Personal Data, you may at any time request access to your data, its correction or update, its deletion, or object to its use.

To do so, email us at contacto@cool-cr.com with the subject "Personal data" and tell us what you would like to request. We will reply within the time limits set by law. If you believe we did not handle your request properly, you may contact Costa Rica's data protection agency (PRODHAB).

Security

The site runs over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access to contact requests is restricted to authorized Cool Producciones SRL staff.

Minors

This site is aimed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date.
